Regent’s Park has two choirs: The Gospel Choir which runs all year round and the Advent Choir which runs in Michaelmas only. 

The Gospel Choir meets once a week in the chapel for an hour.  Their termly commitments include performing in two chapel services and one formal hall.  Material for the chapel service normally includes African gospel and spiritual songs as well as some songs of traditional worship.  Other material covered by the choir includes songs from musicals, movies and the charts.  Led by Peter Gunstone, every member of the choir is invited to suggest songs and source music for performance. 

The Advent Choir is run during Michaelmas by a member of the JCR.  This choir is organised for the purpose of performing the Advent service in St. John’s College Chapel on the last day of Michaelmas term.  The choir performs popular carols as well as some less well known classical Christmas music.  The choir is open to all members of the College and is well attended by members of all common rooms.
