BALLIOL REGENTS WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CLUB

Regents Ladies F.C. since 2008 has been joined with the Balliol College team, and we've had a great time so far! Playing with Balliol provides a great opportunity to meet new people and have fun outside of Regents. We get together once a week to train, and usually have a game every Saturday.

Anyone is welcome to play, experienced or inexperienced and the team is very laid back, with enjoyment definitely the priority. We are currently in the 3rd division which isn't a very high standard but we do get to play cuppers games against other colleges in higher leagues too.  Most people have never played before they join the team but love it once they get started, so don’t be scared to give it a go!

We have regular socials with the Balliol girls, pizza nights, formal halls and some crew dates too!
The Turf Tavern Pub kindly sponsor us, so is a regular haunt for good food and a few drinks after a game, and each term we plan to have a turf night with their barbecue and drinks. We also have a yearly social with all the other women college teams which is great fun. This year it’s a “Pub Footie”  pub crawl around all the bars in oxford!

So if you want to play a bit of sport, not too serious and lots of fun; get some great stash and enjoy great socials; women’s footie is definitely for you!
